The Long Awaited Update (or not!)

Okay...so here's what has happened w/ my stories since my last post:

PUBLISHED STORIES

HER FATHER'S GIFT This story, inspiration by Quibler, is up with a beautiful banner by Alohomora! It has been since my first post (I think so anyway), but yeah. 6 reviews! Can anyone else review? Please? Oh, well. Maybe it will get more when I become a more popular fanfic author-hopefully soon! It's validating again because of some minor changes in the author's note, so I hope that won't take TOO long! ;-)

NO ONE MOURNS THE WICKED
I decided to make the changes. It's not as good as it was, but I think it's still okay, once you've noted it was written with the whole song instead of just the 3 lines at the end (I also wrote it in about an hour). No reviews yet. It was only posted last night. I just put up the banner request!

FUTURE STORIES (?)

I have two ideas for future stories-one is a sequel to NO ONE MOURNS THE WICKED, a short story about what happens when the briefly mentioned daughter finds out who her father is. The other is a humor fic, probably very random, I've thought about posting, about what would happen if I went into the HP books. It sort of fits another challenge I saw too, though I thought of the idea before. I think I need to have a humor fic after my two dramas! After that, no idea. I do have other writings go on including HPFF, so I can't be too busy! :D Let me know in a comment what you think of these...I'm waiting for feedback from my readers to see if I should do them!

Rejection

Okay, the latest news, to those people who might not even be reading this, is that my story "No One Mourns the Wicked" was rejected because of the three longs from a song to a musical issue. I thought it might be-PropMaster commented about it on the page of the challenge I took it from, but I had already submitted it before I read the comment. I'm not sure if I will make the changes-my story just seems so, I don't know, incomplete without the rest of the song. It just probably won't work as well. I'll have to see. I'm really fighting it-and to wait another week for validation? That's how long it took last time, though my other story took overnight...

Ah, well. I'll think about it. I'm depressed, because the lyrics made the story really good and I was quite proud of it, but what am I supposed to do? The unfair thing is other songfics from musicals have more than three lines, so why weren't theirs rejected? I'm jealous! I'll have to sleep on it. I just don't know.

In the meantime, I'm in the mood to write a short story. I just a.) don't know if anyone will read it and b.) have no inspiration! KEEP UP THOSE REVIEWS!!! PLEASE? I'm sorry, really I am, but reviews mean the world to me. I'll even send you a cookie and read & review your story! (Seriously-I'm taking this idea from tjhermione, but it seemed to work for her. If you know, don't tell!). I will just have to see. What do you think? Maybe I should add that cookie idea to "Her Father's Gift" and "No One Mourns the Wicked" (if) I change it...

Please comment if you read this. You don't have to say much. I just want to know that people are indeed reading this! It seems so pointless otherwise.

My First Post-YEA!!!

Hi everyone! I doubt a lot of people will be reading this, but hey, it was worth the shot, right? My name is Mara and this blog is about my harrypotterfanfiction, in case you didn't know. It was also created to give you a little more background about me!

I'm a young, motivated writer who is mostly writing fanfic to a.) get some feedback from other writers/readers and b.) read your stories. That DOES mean I write other things, so I probably won't be writing any really long novels on HPFF. Sorry, if I have to disappoint you, but one day, when you see or read my plays, movies, and books, just remember: I was writing this between fanfic! I write a variety of things-some fanfic, mostly not! That doesn't mean I have anything against it though: it's just not my main priority right now.

Besides writing, I'm a big reader and actor, plus I love listening to music and spending time with friends and reading YOUR wonderful, lovely fanfics. If you want me to read your fanfic, don't hesitate to ask me-I'll try to and will leave a review ASAP!

So, here's the long awaited update about my current stories...

"Her Father's Gift"-inspiration by the extremely wonderful Quibler has a banner! HOORAY! Thanks, Alohomora! It has almost 100 reads, but only 4 reviews, so I'd love to get more feedback. You have no idea how happy it makes me and I'll even bribe you if I have to (pretty sad, I know-but that just tells you how much I ♥ feedback. That's why I write fanfic in the first place!)

"No One Mourns the Wicked"-inspiration by Phoenix_Flame's challenge and the wonderful Broadway musical is being validated. Hope it makes it! I will hopefully get lots of reviews, reads, and a banner when it's posted.

That's all. In the future, I'd also like to write a humor story (since my others are dramas) and maybe a very, very short one, at least one chapter one. If anyone has an idea that is no more than 5 or 6 chapters and they don't feel like writing, feel free to tell me and I'll see if I can write it!
